President of Red Crescent Society to meet with ACC
Detroit,
MI - June 25, 2007 Dr. Younis
Al-Khatib, president of the Palestinian Red
Crescent Society will meet with representatives from the Arab American and
Chaldean Council (ACC) at ACC's Youth Recreation and Leadership Center
Thursday, June 28 to discuss the current human conditions and need for
humanitarian efforts in Palestine.
"We
are honored to have Dr. Al-Khatib as our guest
and are eager to share our vision and history with him. We hope to
establish a warm rapport in order for us to have a deeper understanding of
his organization's work while we provide him insight on our work,"
said ACC President and CEO Haifa Fakhouri.
The
International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is the
world's largest humanitarian organization, with 185 member National
Societies. All work is guided by seven fundamental principles; humanity,
