The Behavioral Health Division is committed to providing comprehensive, culturally sensitive and competent outpatient behavioral health services that are cost effective, consumer-driven and represent the highest standards of the profession. ACC’s five conveniently located outpatient clinics in Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties are staffed by a multidisciplinary team of highly qualified, trilingual, bicultural psychiatrists, licensed clinical psychologists, social workers and case managers who offer quality behavioral health services. Behavioral Health services are available for individuals ranging between 0-85 years of age, regardless of gender and who may or may not have insurance. ACC’s Behavioral Health Division has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 1992. As a member of Gateway Community Health, ACC has been able to expand programs and services, extend community outreach to different geographical communities, as well as build solid referral relationships with core providers to enhance service delivery. ACC’s Wayne County Behavioral Health Division has just successfully ended its 3rd year of operation under its managed care affiliation. Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an evidenced-based practice that offers treatment, rehabilitation, and support services, using a person-centered, recovery-based approach, to individuals that have been diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness. The goal of the program is to help people stay out of the hospital and to develop skills for living in the community, so that their mental illness is not the driving force in their lives. ACC's ACT Program is committed to providing individually tailored services and support, which may very in intensity over time based on the consumer's needs and condition. Services include multiple weekly contacts and 24 hour seven days a week crisis availability by skilled multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals, which includes psychiatric, case management, and medical staff. ACT Program In The News: ACC program tackles mental health Infant Mental Health ACC's Behavioral Health Program is now offering Infant Mental Health Services. These services provide parent(s) and infant support, therapy to address ongoing mental health concerns, services to help the parent(s) and infant develop healthy relationships, referrals, therapeutic services to enable parent(s) to resolve conflict within the family, and information about infant's growth and development. To be eligible for services, a person must be pregnant and/or a parent with a child between the ages of 0-3 years, parent(s) struggling with mental health concerns, infants experiencing delays in developmental milestones, infants failing to thrive, infant/toddler with emotional or behavioral difficulties, families that have experienced separation due to illness of parent or infant/toddler, and families that have experienced trauma or loss.To learn more about the Infant Mental Health Program, please call us at (313) 581-7287. New Beginnings Start Here ACC’s Wayne County Network Clubhouse provides psychosocial and vocational rehabilitation while encouraging social reintegration for consumers with reoccurring and long term mental illness, through person centered planned activities.In partnership with Wayne County Community Mental Health Agency, the Clubhouse focuses on building its client’s strengths, independent living skills, and develops employment opportunities. The aim is to slowly integrate the client into society.The Network Clubhouse believes that its members and staff work in a partnership towards mutual support, delivering high quality services to its members.
