The Employment and Training Department
is designed to assist the community members at large with placement,
informational resources, referral services, as well as educational
and awareness services to the work force. The program provides
various employers in the tri-county area with recruitment of job
ready candidates to fill all kinds of employment.
Work
First Programs
ACC Work First contracts with Oakland Employment and Training,
City of Detroit and SEMCA provide services to clients referred
by the Michigan Department of Human Services (formerly FIA).

Act Program (WIA)
The WIA Program is a training and employment project that offers
basic and intensive training services to assist individuals.

Food
Assistance Employment and Training Program
This program provides job search and job readiness services to
eligible able-bodied adults between the ages of 18-49 who do not
have any dependents and are food stamp recipients.
