Public Health

The health status of Michigan’s residents and specifically ethnic and minority populations has seriously impacted the financial condition of our state. It is the aim of our Public Health Division by gearing programs and services to address the real causes of various diseases and treat them in a holistic fashion. Through small and steady changes in prevention efforts through life style behavior medications, routine screenings and early detection methods we can impact the morbidity and mortality of community members and help reduce the medical costs. Through ongoing commitments and eliciting subject matter experts we can impact the health status of community members.
