In its first year of existence the youth center enrolled an outstanding 280 neighborhood youth that participate in various activities offered six days a week. ACC’s boy’s basketball team (14 and under) has taken a great stride by winning 1st place in the National Classics and the 2005 Championship Series, 13 and under, won the Playoff Championship at Christian Tabernacle. The center is equipped with a gymnasium, computer lab, program offices, a community board room, and a complete dental clinic for the uninsured and underinsured. Innovative educational and recreational youth programs focus on youth related issues such as substance abuse, smoking cessation, HIV/AIDS prevention, computer literacy training, and teen health education.
